SALT LAKE CITY AND PARK CITY AMONG NEXT LOCATIONS FOR LunchboxWax
— Longtime restaurant franchisees make the switch to growing $7 billion beauty industry, sign franchise and area development agreements for chic speed-waxing salons —
October 22, 2013, Boise, ID — LunchboxWax, a turnkey, full-support franchise system in the thriving $7 billion beauty industry, announced today it has awarded multiple franchises in Utah to Scott and Teresa Hatter.
The Hatters, who have established themselves as dedicated operators in the franchise restaurant sector, will open their first four-suite speed-waxing salon in Sugar House, a popular commercial area and one of Salt Lake City’s oldest neighborhoods. The couple also plans to open a boutique, two-suite salon about 20 miles east of Sugar House in Park City, a popular tourist destination and home to three major ski resorts and the Sundance Film Festival.
LunchboxWax CEO Debi Lane, whose viral brand has been happily encouraging all to “Bare Your Beauty” since 2010, said the company’s newest franchisees and locations are a perfect fit for the concept that caters to people who want to feel beautiful and are mindful about the people and places they choose for personal services.
“We’re as careful about the sites we select for our salons as we are the caliber of people we bring on board as owners and operators,” Lane said. “The Hatters are discerning, top-producing professionals with strong, competitive spirits and community-minded motivations. We’re confident they will empower these Utah communities with the same passion that we have when it comes to supporting our franchisees and taking care of our guests.”
The area development agreement signed by the Hatters is part of an expected expansion plan to add more than 20 locations to several franchisees in other affluent, progressive communities in the next 15 months.
“There is huge buzz around the LunchboxWax brand. It’s fresh, clean and hip – and a bit edgy,” said Scott Hatter, who prior to this agreement had successfully planned, developed and implemented the Baja Fresh Mexican Grill brand in Idaho with Teresa. “When we were looking for a new venture, LunchboxWaxkept coming up. They’re the best at what they do – from the service they provide to the way they run their business.”
About LunchboxWax: The wax-only LunchboxWax concept cultivates curiosity, provides a proven system that includes custom products to pamper the skin of every guest before, during and after a session, and answers the overwhelming need to offer a place that doesn’t see waxing as an ad-on service or an afterthought, Lane said.
About Scott and Teresa Hatter: Scott and Teresa opened and operated three Baja Fresh Mexican Grills in Idaho and were named Rookie Franchisee of the Year after their first year. Prior to Baja Fresh, Scott managed a chain of fast-food restaurants in the Greater Spokane/Northern Idaho area. Teresa, who was directly responsible for the Tex-Mex restaurants’ daily operations, training and customer service, has served on several boards for non-profit organizations and was named 2007 Idaho Woman of the year.
