LunchboxWax Signs Agreement for 10 San Francisco Bay Area Locations
—Successful small business owner and former hedge fund partner join growing franchise with plans to open first location in early 2015 —
November 12, 2014, Boise, ID — LunchboxWax, known since 2010 for its expertly trained waxologists, chic vibe and viral brand that happily encourages all to “Bare Your Beauty,” announced today its first California location will open in the spring of 2015 in the San Francisco Bay area.
Partners Nicky Barrett Lecher and Peter Lane were exploring the idea of franchising Lecher’s popular art entertainment and instruction studios, The Paint Mixer, in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah, when Lane learned about LunchboxWax and its desire to expand into the San Francisco Bay Area market by awarding an area agreement for multiple franchises to qualified candidates.
“We’re do-it-yourselfers, but we also understand the appeal of having a group of professionals lead us through the process as we look to expand our business portfolio, “ Peter Lane said of their choice to keep The Paint Mixer a privately owned company and join the growing LunchboxWax franchising team.

Lecher and Lane signed an area development agreement with plans to open 10 San Francisco Bay Area locations. The business partners are currently undergoing site selection in Marin County. Other areas identified for future locations include Walnut Creek, Dublin, Palo Alto and San Jose.

In addition to California, LunchboxWax also has salons open or commitments for franchises in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Puerto Rico.

From December 1, 2012, to November 30, 2013, annual gross revenue for the corporate store in Boise, Idaho, was $488,314.01. The company’s flagship salon operates as a Two-Suite Boutique Box. Most franchises sold will feature a Four-Suite Complete Box configuration.
